Password strength comes mostly from length and true randomness. Each extra character multiplies the number of possibilities, which is why the strength bar reports entropy in bits. This tool picks characters using your browser's cryptographic random generator and guarantees at least one character from every type you select. Use a different password for every account and store them in a reputable password manager rather than reusing or memorising them.
Use at least 14 to 16 characters for important accounts such as email and banking. Turn on two-factor authentication where you can, because even a strong password can leak in a data breach. Never reuse a password, and avoid keeping passwords in plain notes or sharing them in chat.
Here, yes. Generation happens locally using crypto.getRandomValues and nothing is sent or stored.
They remove O, 0, l, 1 and I, which helps if you ever need to type the password by hand.
